New Mermaid print

A while back I designed a mermaid print and decided to do another one because HEY - its drawing mermaids and I love mermaids. My style is changing and evolving always.  I am also playing with new filters and loving it. Enjoy!

Oh and both are available for purchase at my online store. Although the first mermaid print may retire soon.

My first mermaid print I designed.

I Heart Mermaids

Not quite finish but my latest work. I am currently prepping for my two shows coming up in March but working on this one at the same time.

I don't have much to say but I love mermaids. I did a mermaid print a long time ago but wanted to do another one. I love pink hair and roses. Its just a girlie print. Thats about all I have to say.

The finished one will be 12x18 and not sure if it will make it to the two cons. It will def. be available in my store once its finished.

Harley Quinn

I am not a big sports person so didn't watch Super Bowl yesterday. Instead I decided to read up on psychotic Harley Quinn. Hey I'd take crazy over sports any day. I drew the classic Harley and the new Harley in Suicide Squad. Holy smokes does that movie look good or what!!! Margot Robbie just looks so amazing as Harley. I really dig the new Harley costume.

WonderGround Gallery January 23-24 2016

2016 was off to a great start for Nanamation. I was contacted by Disney to appear at the Wonderground Gallery in the Downtown Disney for an Artist Showcase appearance.

It was just an amazing experience and I am grateful for it. The staff members were all so helpful and friendly. They really made me feel comfortable and welcomed me to the gallery.

I really appreciate everyone who came out to take the time to look at my artwork. It was amazing to talk to everyone and thank you again for making a purchase.

Here are some pictures for the show.

Valentine's Day

I know Valentine's Day is coming very soon. I dedicate this one to my husband. Now that we have kids we have to work together as a team especially or our kids will just go nuts. Also my husband and I rely on each other. It works for us and we appreciate each other.

Swan Lake

I had a lot of fun with this one. Can you guess what I was listening to while I designed this one out?

Dancing Odette/Odile in Swan Lake would be magical.  I heard the two roles are often danced by the same dancer, but sometimes they are danced by two different dancers in the same performance.

If I could dance to one role I would pick the Black Swan because black is my color. Plus I would look fat in all white. Although if I was a dancer I would be so in shape.

Get a Grip

Get a Grip. I don't think there is any explanation on this one. Something I like to tell my kids when they throw mad tantrums. But they are still young and learning. I shouldn't talk. I still throw tantrums and learn to get a grip.

Rainy Days

It's raining and we sure do need it in California, but being home with my kids can drive us crazy. My youngest and I are home and we have done just about everything there is to do. Craft, play puzzles, watch the tv limit, read books but it would be nice if we can go out and play or ride our bike.

So I drew him some funny cloud pictures for him. Hoping I can make these into buttons too.

My last post and artwork for 2015

This will be my last post and my last artwork for 2015.

I dedicated my last drawing to Frida Kahlo. She was such an amazing artist and woman. I admire her so much. She was so advanced for her time and she was the only woman that can make a unibrow sexy.

I am not sure what 2016 will bring but I am excited to see what new adventures and drawings will happen in the New Year.

Also a big "thank you" for supporting my silly artwork and most of all your lovely comments. I appreciate it greatly. It brings a smile to my face and its so rewarding to me in so many ways.

Thank you again and hope to bring more silly artwork.

Holiday Traditions

One of my favorite Holiday traditions as a kid was getting to watch the Nutcracker Ballet on TV. My traditions have changed now - now that I have 2 active boys. I don't think watching the Nutcracker would be their cup of tea.

One of our holiday traditions is baking Star Wars and Hello Kitty cookies. Its something we started 6 years ago. As the kids get older - it gets better and better.

This year we got to watch new Star Wars movie as a family. It was great. We also did a Star Wars marathon before going.

I don't miss watching the Nutcracker. I think one day I would love to go see the ballet performance but in the mean time - watching Star Wars is just fine by me.

I love Hawaii

I know its kinda weird doing a Hawaii/Beach/Surfer drawing in cold sunny California (in December), but our family was recently on the big island this past Thanksgiving Break. All I have to say,  I did not want to leave. I just love it there. Its nice even in winter.

I wonder if I can take up surfing when I'm 80?

Day of the Dead

Here is my Day of the Dead artwork. I may go back and add some details but its pretty much done. I know I am a bit late. Kids getting sick and planning my son's craft party - I just didn't have time for anything else. Its OK...family comes first and I finally finished my artwork.

I think Day of the Dead is a neat holiday. It makes me think about all my loved ones that I have lost. The most recent family member would be my mother-in-law. She was just a great woman and I dedicate this artwork to Louise. Oh and if she wore anything - it would be the red dress. She loved red.

Ok no more Halloween and Day of the Dead drawings.  Now moving on to Christmas!

Happy Halloween My Pretty

I know Halloween is like over but wanted to post artwork I finished before Halloween and forgot to post.
